Still Unexplored Taj – The True Fantasy

Ever since its construction, Taj Mahal India has always amused not only the travelers coming here but also the poets, film-makers and writers. Not only the construction, its beauty and the love story behind Taj Mahal is fascinating but the different myths that has been prevailing since ages has grasped the attention of the travelers coming to Travel in India. So here I am sharing few of such legends which I read recently associated with Taj.

Foreign Architect:

Up till now it was believed that only the marble used in constructing the Taj was brought from Italy but according to historical scriptures it was revealed that Italian architect Geronimo Veroneo was one of the prime architect who was especially called for by Shah Jahan himself.

Third Graves:

Other legend associated with Taj is that there are another set of graves of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal lying just beneath the central chamber. The graves that are there in the central chamber are fake graves or just a mere impression of the originals.

Taj Is Sinking:

Located on the banks of Yamuna river the very common myth about Taj is that this beautiful monument is sinking slowly. Infact with the passage of time some cracks have also been discovered on the marble platform and the monument. But till now nothing has been proved.

Black Taj:

The most popular of all the myths linked with Taj Mahal in India is of the black Taj Mahal. It is said that after constructing the white marble Taj, Shah Jahan was so much awestruck with its beauty that he decided to erect an exact replica of the monument on the opposite side of the Yamuna bank. But his dream could not be fulfilled as he was captured by his son. There can be some truth about this story as historians have found some of the remains of the black marble on the construction site.

But whatever the truth may be it is true that Taj Mahal is the most popular Place to Visit in Agra city and the country also.
